What is a TITHE?
  • According to the dictionary...
tithe
n.
1.
a. A tenth part of one's annual income contributed voluntarily or due as a tax, especially for the support of the clergy or church.
b. The institution or obligation of paying tithes.
 
  • According to the scriptures...
Malachi 3:10 (NIV)
"Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this way, says the Lord of Hosts. See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure."
 
Your tithe goes to support the annual budget of Murphy Road, which includes operational costs, missions and ministries supported by the church.
 
What is an OFFERING?

An "offering" is a gift to the Lord above that which you give as a tithe. Many give to support missions, special events or just give additional offering to support ministries within the church.

Ways to Give
  1. Online Giving. This safe and flexible method of giving through eGive-USA is the easiest way to give to Murphy Road. You gain the ability to schedule a recurring gift or one-time gifts as needed and the funds are directly debited from your checking account according to the schedule you determine. Ability to split giving between multiple accounts is offered. Giving history is also available at any time on eGive's website.
  2. Sunday Service. For your convenience, offering envelopes are available for tithing in the chairs of the Worship Center, at the Crossroads or in your Bible Fellowship LifeGroup classroom. Just place your offering in an offering plate during a worship service. (To ensure your offering is credited properly, please completely fill out the envelope with first and last name, amount, designation and cash/check).
  3. By Mail. You may mail an offering to 411 S. Murphy Road, Murphy, Texas 75094.
